The Hard Segregation report displays the securities designated as hard segregable for a given entity and report date. Hard segregation is the contractual understanding between a buyer and a seller requiring securities to be placed in a separate escrow account at the custodian bank. Hard segregation securities cannot be removed without the permission of the broker and include such securities as futures and common stock short sales.
To create the Hard Segregation report:
- From the In Accounting Center window, click Reporting in the left navigation .Double click Investment Accounting, Compliance Reports, and Hard Segregation.pane, click Reports > Compliance Reports >Asset Segregation > Hard Segregation Report.
You see the Hard Segregation Report panel. - Complete the fields options on the Hard Segregation Report panel.
- Click Submit.
You see the Submit Query dialog box. - Click Advanced Report or Classic Grid Report Under Result Options, click Grid or Advanced Report for the report view you want.
- Click Submit.
The report results appear on your desktop for the view selected.
