You must add a fixed allocation ratio if you selected Sector Fixed Percentage as a sector method when adding/updating a sector allocation rule or if you selected Class Fixed Percentage as a class method when adding/updating a class allocation rule.

Create or Edit a Fixed Allocation Ratio for a Sector

In the Create Sector Fixed Percentage panel, you can add and change a fixed allocation ratio for a sector.

To create or edit a fixed allocation ratio for a sector:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup Fund Accounting > Allocation Percentages > Create Sector Fixed Percentage.
    You see the Create Sector Fixed Percentage panel.
  2. In the Master Fund field or Master Fund ID field, specify the name or identifier of the master fund entity associated with fixed allocation ratios that you want to add or change.
  3. In the Activity Type field, specify the type of activity you are allocating among the different sectors. 
    You can also add your own activity types. Options include:
    –  Cash
    –  Distributions
    –  Dividend Reinvest
    –  Expenses
    –  Redemptions
    –  Sector "Catch All"
    –  Short Term Investment
    –  Subscriptions
  4. In the Effective Date field, specify the effective date of the fixed allocation ratio applied to the sectors.
  5. Click Submit.
    You see a list of sectors for the mutual fund with activity types and effective dates that meet your criteria in the Show All tab.
  6. Click Add/Change Percent.
    You see the Add/Change Percent tab with a row for each entry. All fields are locked, with the exception of Allocation Ratio and Effective Date.
  7. Click the row for each sector/allocation rule/activity type grouping you want to update, and add or change the Allocation Ratio and/or Effective Date field values.
    Enter the allocation ratios as decimals, rather than as whole numbers. The ratios across the sectors add up to a value of 1.
  8. Click Submit.
    The system adds or changes the allocation ratios you entered for the sectors.

Create or Edit a Fixed Allocation Ratio for a Share Class

In the Create Class Fixed Percentage panel, you can add and change a fixed allocation ratio for a share class.

To create or edit a fixed allocation ratio for a share class:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup Fund Accounting > Allocation Percentages > Create Class Fixed Percentage.
    You see the Create Class Fixed Percentage panel.
  2. In the Master Fund field or Master Fund ID field, specify the name or identifier of the master fund entity associated with fixed allocation ratios that you want to add or change.
  3. In the Activity Type field, specify the type of activity you are allocating among the different classes. 
    You can also add your own activity types. Options include:
    –  Relative Net Asset
    –  Fair Value Settled Shares Outstanding
    –  Shares Outstanding
    –  Prior Night Net Assets
    –  Settled Shares
    –  Settled Shares without Prior Day Adjustment
    –  Class Fixed Percentage
    –  Relative Net Assets at Market Value
  4. In the Effective Date field, specify the effective date of the fixed allocation ratio applied to the classes.
  5. Click Submit.
    You see a list of share classes for the mutual fund with activity types and effective dates that meet your criteria in the Show All tab.
  6. Click Add/Change Percent.

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup Fund Accounting > Allocation Percentages > List Sector Fixed Percentage.
    You see the List Sector Fixed Percentage panel.
  2. In the Master Fund field or Master Fund ID field, specify the name or identifier of the master fund entity associated with fixed allocation ratios that you want to list.
  3. In the Effective Date field, specify the effective date of the fixed allocation ratio applied to the sectors.
  4. Click Submit.
    You see information about the sector fixed allocation ratios that met your criteria in the List Fixed Percentages tab in a report format and the Show All tab in a grid format.

List Fixed Allocation Ratios for a Class

In the List Class Fixed Percentage panel, you can view a list of fixed allocation ratios for a share class.

To list fixed allocation ratios for a class:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup Fund Accounting > Allocation Percentages > List Class Fixed Percentage.
    You see the List Class Fixed Percentage panel.
