When you review loopback details, you can select the Show Loopback Details option to review message and exception information for the selected loopback detail.
To show loopback details:
In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Processing & Exceptions > Global Processes.
You see the Global Process workspace.- Identify the loopback you want to view by selecting a summary total or search criteria.
You see the loopbacks that met your criteria in the Loopbacks pane. - In the Loopbacks pane, click a loopback.
You see rows of detail information for the selected loopback in the Loopback Details pane. - Right-click a loopback detail row, and then click Show Loopback Details.
You see the Loopback Message tab and the Exception Details tab for the selected loopback details row. - If you want to view the selected lookback details in their own separate workspace, click Full View.
You see the information previously displayed in the Loopback Details pane in the Loopback Details workspace. - Review the loopback details.
- If you no longer want to see the Loopback Message tab and Exception Details tab, right-click the loopback detail row, and then click Hide Loopback Details.

When you show loopback details, in the Loopback Message tab, you can view the message stream associated with loopback details. The Loopback Message tab shows the tag ID, Name, and Value for the complete message.
To view the message stream for loopback details:
- In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Processing & Exceptions > Global Processes.
You see the Global Process workspace. - In the Loopbacks pane, click the row of the loopback you want to view.
You see rows of detail information for the selected loopback in the Loopback Details pane. - In the Loopback Details pane, right-click a loopback detail row, and then click Show Loopback Details.
You see the Loopback Message tab and the Exception Details tab for the selected loopback details row. - Click the Loopback Message tab.
You can export or print the loopback message. - If you want to view the message for another loopback detail, click another row in the Loopback Details pane.

When you show loopback details, in the Exception Details tab, you can view the rejection details associated with loopback details with a Rejected status. The Exception Details tab includes Message Details, Message Text, and Error Description tabs. These tabs provide a snapshot of the information in the Exception workspace rejection queue for the selected message.
To view exception details for loopback details:
- In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Processing & Exceptions > Global Processes.
You see the Global Process workspace. - In the Loopbacks pane, click the row of the loopback you want to view.
You see rows of detail information for the selected loopback in the Loopback Details pane. - In the Loopback Details pane, right-click a loopback detail row, and then click Show Loopback Details.
You see the Loopback Message tab and the Exception Details tab for the selected loopback details row. - Click the Exception Details tab.
You see the following three tabs:
- Message Details. Provides information regarding the data elements and their associated values. Shows Tag ID, Name, and Value.
- Message Text. Shows the raw data in a delimiter separated tag/value format.
- Error. Provides a business description of the error. - If you see a message that identifies the exception instance shown, choose the exception you want to view.
When multiple exceptions apply to the selected loopback details, you see a message that identifies the exception shown. You can click the arrow beside the exception instance number to select and view exception details for another exception record. The following figure shows this message. - If you want to view the exception details for another loopback detail, click another row in the Loopback Details pane.
Close an Exception for Loopback Details
When you show loopback details, in the Exception Details tab, you can close the rejection directly. You do not need to go to the Exceptions workspace to close the rejection.
To close an exception for loopback details:
- In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Processing & Exceptions > Global Processes.
You see the Global Process workspace. - In the Loopbacks pane, click the row of the loopback you want to view.
You see rows of detail information for the selected loopback in the Loopback Details pane. - In the Loopback Details pane, right-click a loopback detail row, and then click Show Loopback Details.
You see the Loopback Message tab and the Exception Details tab for the selected loopback details row. - Click the Exception Details tab.
- Click Close Exception.
Show Exceptions for Loopback Details
When you use Automation Center's Monitor workspace to review loopback details, you can select loopback details that did not process successfully and open the rejection queue in the Exceptions workspace to display only those exceptions associated with the selected loopback detail. This allows you to easily locate and repair those exceptions. This option is available only in Automation Center's Monitor workspace.
To show exceptions for loopback details:
In Automation Center, in the left navigation pane, click Automation Desk > Monitor.
You see the Monitor workspace.- Under Select Type, click Loopbacks.
- Identify the loopback you want to view by selecting a summary total or search criteria.
You see the loopbacks that met your criteria in the Loopbacks pane. - In the Loopbacks pane, click a loopback row.
You see rows of detail information for the selected loopback in the Loopback Details pane. - In the Loopback Details pane, right-click a loopback detail row that did not process successfully, and then click Show Exception.
You see the Exceptions workspace in Automation Center. You see one or more exceptions associated with the selected loopback detail. - Use the Exceptions workspace to resolve the exceptions, as appropriate.
Change the Maximum Number of Loopback Detail Rows
When you review loopback details, the Loopback Details pane displays a warning if the loopback you selected in the Loopbacks pane includes too many detail rows to display in the Loopback Details pane. The warning identifies the maximum number of rows allowed. If the warning includes a link for you to change the maximum number of rows allowed, you can click that link and enter a different number of rows.
The maximum number of rows that the system can display in the Loopback Details pane is determined in User Administration through your center roles and permissions set up for your user account. The Setup tab for Automation Center includes a Default Max Rows box that specifies the maximum number of loopback detail rows allowed for each user. It also includes the Allow Change Max Rows check box, which determines whether that user can change the value in the Max Items box in the Loopback Details pane.
To change the maximum number of loopback detail rows:
In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Processing & Exceptions > Global Processes.
You see the Global Process workspace.- Identify the loopback you want to view by selecting a summary total or search criteria.
You see the loopbacks that met your criteria in the Loopbacks pane. - In the Loopbacks pane, click a loopback.
In the Loopback Details pane, you see detail information for the selected loopback. If the number of detail rows for the loopback exceeds the maximum number of detail rows that the system can display, you see a warning message. - Click the underlined Click Here link that appears in the warning message.
You see the Max Items box, which shows the maximum number of rows for loopback details set up for your user account. - Enter a different value in the Max Items box.
- On the Loopbacks tab, in the Refresh group, click Refresh, and then click Screen.
- Review the loopback details.
- If you select another loopback with detail rows that exceed the value you just entered in the Max Items box, the new value appears in the warning message.
