Recap–PDC assigns a release level to each entity it processes. The release level attained is based on the number of (or lack of) exceptions for specific fields within in an entities policy. Fields are assigned a release level and an optional validation.

If all fields of a certain release - level pass validation, the system release releases the fund to the next level. Release Determining a release level determination is a hierarchy and is based on the minimum level achieved. Portfolio Data Center tracks and maintains release levels as a code and code values.

Portfolio Data Center is pre-populated prepopulated with a four-level hierarchy (level 0-level 3). You can alter To modify descriptions and add or remove levels by editing , edit the list of code values.

Best Practices
Make changes during implementation before you process entities within in PDC. PDC assigns each fund a release level based on passed or failed validations and the hierarchy in place when the funds are processed. Therefore, do not add or remove release levels after production processing occurs.

If you then alter the hierarchy, the funds are now become out-of-synch sync with the release-level hierarchy. To alter the release-level hierarchy in production, you might have to reprocess every fund in the system to resynchsynchronize them. However, before doing so, consult with Eagle. Release levels are a hierarchy with 0 being the lowest.
