Each time a loopback is created, the accounting engine writes a record to the ESTAR_LOOPBACK_EVENTS table. When the engine is finished processing the loopback, the record is updated. The Global Process workspace looks to this table to determine whether the engine has finished processing an event.

About Loopback Monitoring

From the Accounting Center's Accounting Desk, you can access the Global Process workspace where you can monitor the status of event loopbacks. The Global Process workspace is similar to Automation Center's Monitor workspace. But while the Monitor workspace shows activity for loopbacks, message streams, and jobs/events, the results in the Global Process workspace are filtered to show the status of loopbacks for global jobs.

To access and monitor loopbacks:

From the Accounting Center's Accounting Desk, click Global Process in the left navigation.

You see the Global Process workspace. It includes the following panes:

  • Loopbacks Summary. Displays the loopback summary time frame and associated statistics including loopback status and high level totals
  • Loopbacks Search Detail. Criteria used to search for jobs associated with loopbacks.
  • Loopbacks. Displays the status of each job for the specified system date and other search criteria. Summary results show a row for each Message Type/Event Type combination.
  • Loopback Details. Displays account and security details for the selected job. For each Message Type/Event Type combination of summary results you select in the Loopbacks pane, the Loopback Details pane displays detail information

Each time you open the Global Process workspace, the system executes the default queries for the summary totals, loopbacks, and loopback details and displays the results.

You can query and review processed or pending jobs.
