Master fund entities are designed to track transactions and trades for mutual funds that involve capital stock and NAV processing. In the Master Fund Setup panel, you can manually add a master fund entity. When you add a master fund entity, the system creates an entity record, a record for the entity/primary accounting basis, and accounting periods for the entity/primary accounting basis.
If you want to add an additional accounting basis to a master fund entity, use the Add a Basis to a Portfolio panel. See the Manage Accounting Bases section. You can also change master fund entity information. See the Change Master Fund Entities/Sectors section.
To manually add a master fund entity:
