This section describes how to manage the security data that is used in the Security Cross Reference report.

This section assumes you have configured security data, the Security Cross Reference Report, and source rules. Refer to the General Reporting for details.

About Security Data

The Security Master option on the User Settings Explorer window allows you to define:

  • Security Lookup Filters

  • Security Detail Fields

  • Security History Sources

These options are designed to help you manage security data.

Add a Security Lookup Filter

Security lookup filters allow you to query specific security data when performing a Security Cross Reference query in the Eagle Portal.

To add a security lookup filter:

  1. From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.

  2. Enter Portal Administration in the Start Search text box.

  3. Click the Portal Administration (Reporting Center) link to access Portal Administration.
    You see the Portal Administration window.

  4. Click Yes in the Do you see the Eagle logo here? dialog box.
    You see the Portal Query Explorer window as the default.

  5. Click the Portal Query Explorer drop down menu and select User Settings Explorer.
    You see the User Settings Explorer window.

  6. Under Security Master, click Security Lookup Filters.

  7. In Current cross reference fields filter, click the ellipsis on a blank row.
    You see the Field Selector dialog box.

  8. Complete the options on the Field Selector dialog box.

  9. Double-click the field you want to add.

  10. Click Save.

  11. To delete a security lookup filter, In Current cross reference filter fields, select the security lookup filter.

  12. Click the delete (X) icon in the same row.
    The selected filter is deleted.

  13. Click Save.

Manage Security Detail Fields

Security detail fields display security details information in the Eagle Portal.

To manage security detail fields:

  1. From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.

  2. Enter Portal Administration in the Start Search text box.

  3. Click the Portal Administration (Reporting Center) link to access Portal Administration.
    You see the Portal Administration window.

  4. Click Yes in the Do you see the Eagle logo here? dialog box.
    You see the Portal Query Explorer window as the default.

  5. Click the Portal Query Explorer drop down menu and select User Settings Explorer.
    You see the User Settings Explorer window.

  6. Under Security Master, click Security Detail Fields.

  7. In Investment Types, select the investment type you want to configure with security detail fields. Different investment types can be configured to use a different set of security details.

  8. In a blank field, click the ellipsis.
    You see the Field Selector dialog box

  9. Double click a field.

  10. Click Save.

  11. To delete a security detail field, in Security Details Fields, select the details field you want to delete.

  12. Click the Delete icon (X) in the same row.
    The selected field is deleted.

  13. Click Save.
    The security detail field is removed from the Security Details window in the Eagle Portal.

Define a Security History Source

Source rules for reports are configured as described in Source Rules. Once source rules are configured, you can define a security history source. The security history source provides historical data for securities, allowing historical reporting in Portal.

To define a security history source:

  1. From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.

  2. Enter Portal Administration in the Start Search text box.

  3. Click the Portal Administration (Reporting Center) link to access Portal Administration.
    You see the Portal Administration window.

  4. Click Yes in the Do you see the Eagle logo here? dialog box.
    You see the Portal Query Explorer window as the default.

  5. Click the Portal Query Explorer drop down menu and select User Settings Explorer.
    You see the User Settings Explorer window.

  6. Under Security Master, click Security History Source.

  7. In SMF Source Rules, click the check box to select a source rule for security history data. You can select only one source.

  8. Click Save.
    You have defined the security history source.
