This section describes how to manage and configure dashboard parts and dashboard views in the Eagle Portal.

About the Dashboard

In the Eagle Portal, the dashboard is a report that contains different types of information that Portal users can view. The report can contain different types of information, such as portfolio overview, holdings, performance, and transactions.

A dashboard is made up of various dashboard parts. Each part is built from an Eagle Portal query. When you create a dashboard part, you can choose to display the data initially in data format, chart format, or both. When you select Both, the dashboard part is an interactive part, and you can toggle between data and chart when viewing the dashboard view in the Eagle Portal.

Verify Available Dashboard Parts

When you log in to the Eagle Portal, you see the import by default. Based on user permissions, all dashboard views are accessible from this window. A dashboard view is made up of multiple dashboard parts containing different types of investment information about a portfolio.

A dashboard view can be created by the Eagle Portal Administrator and published to users. Or, the Eagle Portal Administrator can create dashboard parts and assign them to users so they can create their own dashboard views.

Before you create a dashboard view, verify that the dashboard parts you want to use in the view are already created.

To verify available dashboard parts:

  1. Log in to the Eagle Portal.

  2. From the Dashboards window, select Parts from the Manage menu.
You see all the available dashboard parts.
