Before you put a package content rule into production, you must verify that the enrichments meet your business requirements. Best practices dictate that you do not modify package rules. If a package content rule does not meet business requirements, please contact the Instrument Engineering team to provide your feedback. The team will determine if there is a change that must be made to the package content rule or if it is a unique requirement that requires a local solution. In the latter case, you can duplicate the package content rule, rename it, and then modify it to meet your specific requirements.

Migrate Package Content Rules
You can migrate package content rules.
To migrate package content rules:
In Portfolio Data Center, in the left navigation pane, click Portfolio Desk > Enrichment.
You see the Eagle Enrichment workspace.Click Migration and select Migrate now.
You see the Migration Wizard - Step 1 of 3 dialog box.Complete the following fields on the Migration Wizard - Step 1 of 3 dialog box:
- Migration Process. Select Migrate into current environment to migrate enrichment rules.
- File. Browse to the location of the .EGL file to be migrated in.Click Next to continue.
You see the Migration Wizard - Step 2 of 3 dialog box.Select a migration rule.
You can change the owner of the rule or save the rule under a different name.Click Next to continue.
You see the Migration Wizard - Step 3 of 3 dialog box.Click Start to migrate the selected rules.
Use the Migration Cart
Complete the following procedure to place rules into the Migration Cart that you want to migrate.
To add items to the Migration Cart:
In Portfolio Data Center, in the left navigation pane, click Portfolio Desk > Enrichment.
You see the Eagle Enrichment workspace.Select a rule in the Eagle Enrichment workspace.
Click Migration and select Add item to cart. You see the Migration Cart dialog box.
The system adds the selected rule to the Migration Cart.Continue adding rules, or click Migrate to migrate the rules using the Migration Wizard.
Manage Migration Rules
Complete the following procedure to view, copy or create new migration rules.
To manage migration rules:
In Portfolio Data Center, in the left navigation pane, click Portfolio Desk > Enrichment.
You see the Eagle Enrichment workspace.Select a rule in the Eagle Enrichment workspace.
Click Migration and select Manage migration rules.
You see the Manage Migration Rules dialog box.Select a rule and click View to view the rule details. Click Close when you are done.
You can either create a new rule, or make a copy of an existing rule and modify it.To create a new rule, click New on the Manage Migration Rules dialog box.
You see the New Migration Rule dialog box.Enter a name and description for the migration rule. Define a duplicate, and duplicate handling for each migration item. Click Save.
The new migration rule appears in the migration cart.To copy a rule and modify it, select a rule and click Copy.
You see the Copy Migration Rule dialog box.Enter a name for the rule in the Save copy as field and click OK.
The new rule appears in the list of migration rules.Select the rule and click Edit to make any changes to the rule.
Click Save to save your changes.
View Migration Logs
A migration log contains technical information about the migration process. This information is for advanced troubleshooting only in cases where the migration process causes errors.
To view a migration log:
In Portfolio Data Center, in the left navigation pane, click Portfolio Desk > Enrichment.
You see the Eagle Enrichment workspace..Click Migration and select View Logs.
You see the Migration Log dialog box.Click the ellipses (…) to select the migration log file.
Click OK.
You see the migration log file.
