 In the Reference Data Center Prices Summary window, you can view pricing data by:

  • Date Type

  • Source

  • View Data By

Date Type. The Date type field default to the effective date. This is the date on which the records will be viewed. You can also choose the Process date.

Source. The Source field defaults to All Sources. This displays all sources with data for the view that you have elected that the business group that you have access to.

View data By. This field defaults to vendor prices The Summary screen in the Prices workspace is the main work area in Reference Data Center for managing prices. From the workspace you can review and edit gold copy and vendor data, add new gold copy prices, and override and release exceptions.

When you first select the Prices summary view, there are a number of possible views that can be selected. The first elections are Date Type, Sources, and the View Data By designation.

  • Date Type. Defaults to Effective Date. This is the effective date of the records that will be viewed. The other option is Process Date. This is the date the record was updated last.

  • Source. Defaults to All Sources. This will return all sources with data for the view the user has elected and their business group has access to.

  • View Data By. Defaults to Vendor Prices. This is the summary view of vendor price records. Additional views are

In the Summary window, default fields display by vendor summary view and gold copy view. Additional fields can also be added to assist with targeting specific data sets. In addition, you can filter fields to display creating a pres-set profile for queries that you will use often.

View Prices or Gold Copy Records

In the prices summary window you can view vendor prices and gold level prices. Vendor records have been managed and scrubbed from scrubbed from the from the RULESDBO_PRICE.STATUS table and the  gold copy prices from the RULES_DBO.PRICE_RULESECURITIES table. Once you select a record, the lower pane populates with a list of exceptions for that record and a list of vendor sources associated with the record. 

To View Vendor Prices or Gold Copy Records:

  • Vendor Exceptions, Gold Copy Prices, and Gold Copy Exceptions.

To View Price Summary Data

  1. In the Reference Desk workspace, click Prices.
    You see the Prices workspace.

  2. In the View Data By Drop Down, select Vendor Prices.

  3. The Effective Date defaults to today's date. 

  4. Complete the search criteria and click the Search button.

  5. Click Search.
    All records matching your search criteria display.

View Exceptions

In the Price Summary window you can view vendor exceptions. This view displays exceptions from the RULESDBO_PRICE_VALIDATION_STATUS_DETAIL table. This is the table where validation results and details are stored after validation tests are applied by a validation rule. Once you select an exception, the lower pane then populates with the price record that this exception applies to.

To View Vendor Exceptions:

  1. In the Reference Desk workspace, click Prices in the left navigation.
    You see the Prices workspace.

  2. In the View Data By drop down, select one of the following options:
    –   Gold Copy Exceptions
    –   Vendor Exceptions

  3. The Effective Date defaults to today's date. 

  4. Complete the search criteria and click the Search button.

  5. Click Search.
    All records matching your search criteria display.Complete the options in the Summary bar.

  6. Click Update Data.
    The query results display.

Info

The fields displayed in the query results are controlled by System Settings 1036 (Client: Fields to display on pricing summary screen) for Gold Copy views and 1038 (Client: Fields to display on pricing summary screen (view by vendor)) for Vendor views. A set of default fields are predefined for each setting and may not removed. Any fields from the SECURITYDBO schema can be added to the default fields in this setting.
